摘要：对《辅行诀脏腑用药法要》中以“玄武、朱雀、青龙、白虎”四种神兽命名的四神兽汤中所蕴含的意象思维进行探讨。认为其命名目的在于“尽意”,以意象思维方式分别体现该神兽的特性,进而体现四神兽汤之功能,其中玄武汤主温渗、朱雀汤主清滋、青龙汤主升散、白虎汤主沉降,提示以上方药能够调节人体气机升降变化。且四神兽汤蕴含“四灵守中”意象,不失顾护中焦之意,守中以调权衡,不致偏于一方而成太过,因而体现了中医“圆运动”思想。从四神兽汤文化渊源及其方剂特点入手,探讨意象思维在四神兽汤中的主导作用,从而为研究《辅行诀脏腑用药法要》提供理论依据。
This paper discussed the image thinking of Si Shen Shou Decoction(四神兽汤),named after four beasts“Black Tortoise(Xuanwu),Vermilion Bird(Zhuque),White Tiger(Baihu)and Azure Dragon(Qinglong)”,recorded in Auxiliary Verse on Drugs and Methods for Zangfu Organs(《辅行诀五脏用药法要》).The naming of the Si Shen Shou Decoction follows the principle that“express all the meaning”,not only reflecting the image characteristics of the four beasts,but embodying their functions.Xuanwu Decoction(玄武汤)governs warming and percolating;Zhuque Decoction(朱雀汤)is good at clearing and enriching;Baihu Decoction(白虎汤)promotes ascending and dispersing;and Qinglong Decoction(青龙汤)mainly assists sinking and descending.All these formulas are suggested to be used for regulation of qi movement.Moreover,Si Shen Shou Decoction contains the image of“four beasts guarding the center”,which manifests its function of caring middel jiao(焦),and maintaining the center for adjustment and balance to avoid predilection on one side,reflecting the idea of“circular motion”in traditional Chinese medicine.The article starts with the cultural origin of Si Shen Shou Decoction and the characteristics of its compositions,and discusses the leading role of image thinking in Si Shen Shou Decoction,thereby providing a certain theoretical basis for the study of Auxiliary Verse on Drugs and Methods for Zangfu Organs.
