摘要：采用实地研究等方法,对新中国成立以来通渭农村体育变迁的历程、特征及社会各因素在变迁中的作用进行研究。研究表明:农村体育的变迁经历了五个阶段;其特征有民间传统体育与现代体育的相互融合,农村体育设备、经费的增长和体育管理制度的完善等;社会政治环境对农村体育变迁起着导向作用、经济发展水平是农村体育变迁的基础条件、文化与教育的发展为农村体育变迁提供了外在的动力、人口综合素质的提高和农民劳动生活方式的改变为农村体育提供了内在动力、大众传媒的发展是农村体育变迁的辅助手段。
