Objective In recent years, intestinal microflora has attracted attention because of its many biological functions in di-gestive diseases.Gut microbes are closely associated with nonalcoholic faty liver disease(NAFLD)."Intestinal flora TLR4 sig-naling pathway"can affect the development of NAFLD through"gut-liver axis",and the theory of"liver communicates with large intestine"in traditional Chinese medicine has similarities with the theory of"Gut-liver axis"in modern medicine.There-fore,to explore the pathogenesis of NAFLD based on"intestinal flora TLR4 signaling pathway"and"liver communicating with large intestine"will help us understand the pathogenesis of NAFLD more deeply. It also can provide a new idea and perspective for exploring the treatment and prevention of the disease with traditional Chinese medicine.
