摘要：内圣与外王是一以贯之的,此"一"即为诚;内圣外化为外王,则个人的仁义道德就外化为礼乐制度;以德配天,德以民心显,故民重君轻;实现外王之道要圣人居君位,将善性通过权力架构推行于天下,由仁人之心到仁人之政;仁人之政的步骤由富之到教之。
Mencius＇ concepts of the internal divinity and the external kingliness axe inter-linked, kingliness is nothing else but the externalization of the internal divinity, that is, an individual＇s loving care for his people, his sense of justice, and his moral integrity are externalized and manifest themselves as rituals and systems that regulate his governance. Moral integrity corresponds to the mandate of the Heaven, and is reflected in the support of the people. Thus the people axe weightier than the monarch.
