摘要：Objective: Through the retrospective research of the prescriptions applied in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment, approaching medicines that are used frequently determine high frequency medicine, so as to discover the law of compatibility and improve theoretical and clinical levels of Chinese medicine. Methods: Articles about RA treatment prescriptions were collected during the past 30 years. Set up a database and analyzing its law according to the efficacy, meridian tropism, taste, property of medicine. Result: According to the analysis, in 376 recipes for RA, 50 medicines were used in the highest frequency accumulated identified as high frequency in 205 herbs. The rheumatism, tonic, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and medicines for relieving exterior syndrome were identified as high-frequency medicines. The forward 3 meridian tropism is liver meridian, spleen meridian, and kidney meridian. The mainly medical taste is pungent, bitter and sweet, and the most commonly used property of medicine is warm property, flat property, and cold property. Conclusions: The high-frequency medicines provide an important basis for the choice of clinical medication.
