摘要：牛作麟系晚清时期通渭人。他身残志坚,发奋苦读,学博文醇,家学源远流长。一部《牛氏家言》堪比我国著名的《颜氏家训》,其人格魅力、好学精神、理学思想和价值观倾向,越来越被人们重视。牛作麟以为,理学的精髓在于心学,需要人们实心实践,学习古圣先贤,追求孔颜之乐。他教育子弟为政者必须寓精明于浑厚,藏严正于宽洪;为学当养圣贤所谓浩然之气。在移风易俗、启迪民智、家庭教育等方面,他不随流俗和时弊,有自己独特的思考和见解。他谆谆告诫晚辈,要俭朴持家、耕读兼济,不要有仕宦之气,女眷当自食其力,读书明理,相夫教子,使牛氏家风蔚然形成。
Niu zuo lin was a man who lived in Tong wei county in late Qing Dynasty. Though he was disabled, he worked very hardand had great achievements in many aspects, especially in the origin of long home study habit. Niu＇ Family Education, like famous Yan＇Family Education, was given more and more attention by people in charisma, love of learning, philosophical thought and value orientation. Niu thought that the essence of science lied in the serious practice of people, the study from the sage and the pursuit of the pleasure Confucius and his disciple Yan publicized, Confucius was a famous Chinese ancient educator. He told children that politicians must learn the smart apartment in vigorous, and the solemn possession in the liberal, he also said that scholars should develop sage which was called noble spirit. He couldn＇t follow the prevalent custom and current problems, but had his own thinking and unique ideas in refinement, enlightenment of people, family education and so on. He warned children constantly that they should learn the simple housekeeping and the connection of farming and study, not the official mood, women should be self reliant, sensible reading and mothers, which formed Niu＇s family tradition.
