摘要:The mechanism of ischemia-reperfusion injure is very complicated, oxygen free radicals, excitatory amino acids, calcium ion, and blood rheology may invoved in it. Angelica sinensis volatile oil (AVSO) contains important active substances in aromatic fractions. In our previous research we demonstrated that AVSO possess protective effects on culture cortical cells damaged by glutamate, the mechanism was involved with maintain the activities of antioxidant enzymes, maintaining mitochondria membrane potential (MMP), inhibiting Ca2+ influx, and increasing the expression of bcl-2 while suppressing the expression of bax, thus alleviate apoptosis and necrosis. In this study, a middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCA: O) model was built in rat to probe into the effects of AVSO on focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion. After cerebral ischemia-reperfusion damage, rats showed neurological defect symptoms: the cerebral infarct volume rate increased, the activity of NOS and the content of NO, and MDA in serum increased, the activity of SOD and GSH-Px decreased, the water content in brain tissue and the permeability of cerebral vascular increased, and the blood rheology indexes became abnormal. AVSO could alleviate all these changes, it's basically behave in: decrease the neurologic deficit score and the cerebral infarct volume rate, decrease the water content in brain tissue and the permeability of cerebral vascular, decrease the activity of NOS, and the content of NO and MDA in serum, increase the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in serum, and improve the abnormal blood rheology indexes, indicating that AVSO possess protective effects on focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in rats.
