摘要：敦煌“形象医学”是指“经变画”中用壁画方式形象化地表达和反映古代人民求医治病的医学内容,它具有天然的多模态属性。文章构建了适合于经变画的视觉语法分析框架,探讨通过图像中动作、颜色、人物关系等解读经变画中的中医学知识和文化。从形象医学三大类别中甄选出三个个案举例说明,通过联系历史语境、宏观识读壁画,视觉语法分析、厘清模态关联,译文化负载词、传播中医文化三个步骤,实现各模态的意义构建和对应翻译。研究表明:视觉语法分析、增译历史语境、多模态关联和文化负载词有助于敦煌形象医学的翻译和受众全面准确理解形象医学。
Dunhuang"image medicine"refers to the medical content of the ancient people seeking medical treatment in the form of murals in the"Transformed Mural from Sutra",which has natural multimodal properties.This paper constructs a visual grammar analysis framework suitable for image medicine to discuss the interpretation of TCM knowledge and culture in the transformed mural from sutra through the action,color,and character relationship in images.Three cases are selected from the three categories of image medicine as examples,and the meaning construction and corresponding translation of each mode are realized through three steps:macro understanding of frescoes through historical context,clarification of modal correlations through visual grammar analysis,and dissemination of TCM culture through the translation of cultural-loaded words.The study shows that visual grammar analysis,adding historical context,multimodal correlation and culture-loaded words are helpful to the translation of Dunhuang image medicine and the audience's comprehensive and accurate understanding of image medicine.
