摘要：英国著名作家托马斯·哈代的小说《苔丝》发生在19世纪的英国,当时英国工业文明入侵农村,社会的变革摧毁了人们和谐的生存状态,对个体的生活带来诸多方面的影响。本文以《苔丝》的命运悲剧为线索,从精神生态批评的角度具体分析了造成苔丝精神生态危机的原因,对苔丝所代表的社会底层穷苦人民在社会的变革中面临的共同的精神生态危机进行了披露。
The famous British writer Thomas Hardy＇s novel Tess of the D＇ UrberviUes occurred in 19th eentury in Britain. When the British invasion of industrial civilization in rural areas, social revolution destroyed people＇ s harmonious living state, it brings many effects of the individual＇s life. This paper is based on the Tess＇s tragie destiny, and from the view of the spirit of ecological criticism analyzes the reason why causes Tess＇s spiritual ecological crisis. Eventually, it also disclosed the common spiritual ecological crisis that the bottom of the social poor people have to experience when they in the face of the social change.
